YAHWEH YASHA’/YAHWEH SHUA
For an explanation of Jehovah/YHWH see also: God? What’s in a Name.
Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.” Is. 62:11
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psa. 27:1
This is a Hebrew word that is our Lord’s Name “Yeshua” i.e. “Jesus.” His name means “salvation is of the Lord.” He is our only hope of salvation.
Yesha means deliverance, rescue, salvation, and also safety or welfare. These things are all the things given those of faith from the cross.
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1Cor. 1:18
His single act liberated us from sin and death.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. Rom. 8:2
There are none so free as those that serve the risen Lord.
. . . and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. Rom. 6:18
We fear not flames, swords of dungeons, for we already have the victory.
When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 1Cor. 15:54
Our history is one of persecution and rejection. Yet we go to the flames gladly, for to suffer for our King is the least we can do. Then those who have suffered are always before the throne.
13 Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have they come?” 14 I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night within his temple; and he who sits upon the throne will shelter them with his presence. Rev. 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Rev. 7:13-17
